This refreshing lemonade is made with the least effort and tastes like summer pure. It consists of only three simple ingredients, which you probably have at home at all times anyway.
I make this lemonade regularly in summer. It is so simple and prepared with so few ingredients that I had to consider whether I should post a “recipe” for it.
But YES, of course! Actually this is not even a question. As simple as this recipe is, as tasty and effective it is.
It’s already September, I know. And it’s lemonade we are talking about, THE summer drink par excellence, I knoooow. But this year it’s such a nice, warm late summer that this refreshing drink is still absolutely in time!
All you have to do is put all the ingredients in a food processor, mix finely and -tataaa- the lemony summer drink is ready!
1-2-3 That’s what it is made of:
- LEMONS. This lemonade is made from the whole fruit including the peel. That’s why it is even more important that you use untreated organic lemons. Many lemons in the supermarket are not organic, but still bear the “untreated” label. However, you have to be careful here. Lemons may be labelled as such because they have not been treated with chemicals AFTER the harvest. What happened to them before is on a different page though.
ORGANIC lemons are most likely free from the “bad stuff” we don’t wanna have in our drink.
- Water. Cold, clear water. With lemonade, not only the taste is important, but also the temperature. The colder it is, the better it is. It would be ideal if you put the water in the fridge overnight. Then it has the perfect temperature. You can also serve the lemonade on ice cubes.
- Sugar. I prefer to use a white raw cane sugar for this recipe. It tastes a bit like caramel and gives the lemonade a great taste. But you can also simply use granulated sugar. What ever you have at home. 🙂
Enjoy the beautiful September everyone! 🙂
