That’s how easy and quick they are to prepare:

  • You need only ONE bowl in which you put all the ingredients and mix them with a whisk or a fork.
  • This mixture must then be left in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • After that, cut out dumplings with a tablespoon and let them simmer in salted water for 10 minutes. Make sure that the water does not boil. That would be too hot and wild for the dumplings.
  • While the dough is in the fridge, prepare the nut crumbs and the berries.

To make the nut crumbs, add breadcrumbs, grated nuts, brown sugar and butter to a skillet and toast over medium heat until golden brown. The smell in the air. Guysss. It’s SO good!!

Here are my tips for making the PERFECT nut crumbs:

  • Most importantly, do not toast them too hot! They burn incredibly quickly. Medium heat is best.
  • Stir them constantly. That way everything will brown and crisp evenly.

Instructions
  1. For the sweet curd dumplings, put all ingredients in a bowl and mix well with a whisk. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours.
  2. Meanwhile, prepare the nut crumbs: Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the crumbs, grated nuts and sugar. Toast over low to medium heat, stirring constantly, until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Place the berries and maple syrup in a saucepan and simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  4. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Turn down the temperature so that the water only simmers. Use a tablespoon to make dumplings and place them in the water. Let the dumplings simmer for 10 minutes. Strain.
  5. Roll the curd dumplings in the nut crumbs. Divide the dumplings, warm berries and the remaining crumbs between plates and serve warm.
